YOUR L P O

Purpose / Mission

The foundation of LPO was based on finding quality apparel at an affordable cost so that more could be spent on an adventure or activity itself, rather than the textiles clothing the body for that specific purpose, yet still attaining sustainable style and comfort.

Several avenues are utilized in obtaining the items here at LPO and I wish to offer each of you the convenience and reasonable cost to achieve the quality outerwear you desire. You can be assured that I seek only the finest fabrics and name brands that are full of life and function.  I wish to provide my customers a place to find a great garment or fabulous home furnishing without leaving the comfort of their home and right at their fingertips.

There is an array of apparel, gear and home decor items here at LPO.  These items are new with tags, new without tags and preowned items in immaculate condition.  Please note that the preowned items are mostly without any visible flaws or defects.  However, occasionally, there will be an item I feel is too nice to discard because of a minute flaw.  Therefore, I do my best to identify and disclose the visible defect of this garment in its description as well as by highlighting it in the pics provided.  I am currently the sole employee of LPO and inspect each item approximately 5 times:  1) upon receipt/purchase; 2) upon laundering (if necessary) and inspecting for flaws, holes, stains, etc.; 3) upon ironing/prepping for pics; 4) photographing; and 5) upon folding/hanging for storage in a pet and smoke-free environment.

As an advocate of TEXTILE WASTE, I believe in repurposing or utilizing an item to its maximum potential.  In case you didn't know...a ridiculous 16.2 million tons of textiles become waste each year, mostly clothing.  2.6 million tons are recycled, 3.14 million tons are combusted for energy recovery, and 10.46 million tons are sent to landfills. For hundreds of years they can sit in landfills, because most are synthetic and do not decompose rapidly.  In landfills, they also release methane into the environment which is a dangerous gas as well as chemical contaminates into our waters and soil.  On average, nationally, it costs cities $45 per ton to dispose of old clothing.  There is also a major environmental impact of new clothing.  It takes 700 gallons of water just to produce one single T shirt.  16% of all insecticides, which we know aren't good for the environment, are used on cotton farming and 60% of the world's cotton is used for clothing.  Think about it.  Fast fashion has now progressed to weekly trends instead of quarterly ones of the past.  Rapid mass production of clothing at cheap cost and quality has increased the environmental costs at an alarming rate.  If I may ask, please recycle if you are considering cleaning out your closet.. if your garments do not benefit another person, perhaps they can be recycled into other items, such as carpet padding, baseball filling, jewelry box lining, or insulation for upholstery, fiberboards and mattresses...

GREEN IS ALWAYS GOOD.

Customer Care / Satisfaction

As stated in LPO's purpose above, providing the customer with high quality apparel, authentic name brands and affordable prices is LPO's mission.  Your satisfaction definitely matters.  LPO strives for not only a personal connection with the customer but his or her contentment in making that purchase as well as complete gratification thereafter.  LPO always welcomes your feedback and questions.  LPO would also love for you to share an adventurous pic of yourself in your LPO purchase (as well as permission to share it here or on Facebook/ Instagram). And remember...you should always spend more for your adventure, not your apparel!
